Terms & Conditions of Sale, Care & Warranty

50% Deposit. A 50% deposit is required to commence manufacturing on your order. The deposit is payable via Stripe secure online checkout. Production does not begin until the deposit is received.

Balance on Completion. The remaining 50% balance is due on completion of manufacturing, prior to dispatch or collection. Payment of the balance releases your order for pickup or freight.

Quote Validity. All quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue. Quotes are based on the measurements and specifications you provide at the time of enquiry.

Price Changes. Prices are subject to change if specifications, measurements, or material costs change between quote and order. Any changes will be confirmed in writing before production commences.

Refunds. As all products are custom-manufactured to your specifications, deposits are non-refundable once production has commenced. If production has not yet begun, a refund may be considered at BSM’s discretion, less any costs incurred.

Every Tier 1 ScreenGuard™ product from BSM carries a genuine System Supplier manufacturer’s warranty:

• ScreenGuard™ Extreme — 10-year System Supplier manufacturer’s warranty
• ScreenGuard™ 316 — 10-year System Supplier manufacturer’s warranty
• PerfGuard — 6-year System Supplier manufacturer’s warranty

The warranty document is supplied on every sale. The warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and conditions. It does not cover damage caused by misuse, improper installation, modification, accident, or normal wear and tear.

Warranty claims must be made in writing to Brisbane Security Manufacturers, with proof of purchase. Approved claims will be repaired or replaced at BSM’s discretion.

To maintain your ScreenGuard™ products and keep your warranty valid:

• Clean mesh and frames regularly with mild soap and water. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or high-pressure cleaners.
• Rinse with clean water after cleaning, especially in coastal areas, to remove salt and mineral deposits.
• Lubricate locks and hinges periodically with a silicone-based lubricant.
• Check that all fixings remain tight and that locks and hinges operate smoothly.
• Do not modify, drill, or cut the product after installation — this will void the warranty.
• Installation must be carried out in accordance with the manufacturer’s guidelines to maintain warranty coverage.

Manufacturing Tolerance. All products are manufactured to a documented ±1.0mm-per-side factory tolerance, within the 3mm industry best-practice allowance.

Specifications. Every item is manufactured strictly to the measurements and specifications you or your installer provide and authorise via the signed Product Specification & Sign-off form.

Lead Times. Typical manufacturing turnaround is 3–5 business days. Lead times are estimates and may vary based on order volume and material availability. We will confirm lead times on your quote.

Dispatch. Orders are available for factory pickup, your nominated courier, or BSM-arranged freight — statewide across Queensland. Freight costs are quoted separately.

All ScreenGuard™ security products are NATA-laboratory tested to:

• AS 5039.1:2023 and AS 5039.3:2023 — Security screen door and window assemblies
• AS 5040 — Installation of security screen door and window assemblies
• AS 5039.1:2023 and AS 5039.3:2023 — Methods of test

Test reports and certification documentation are held on file for every product family we build and are available on request for insurers, body corporates, and compliance purposes.
